It does so by creating thousands of tiny micro-punctures in the top layer of your skin to stimulate the body’s own healing process and increase collagen and elastin levels in the skin.

Like Acupuncture, it is minimally invasive. And it can offer big results such as smoother, brighter, firmer skin. It is also great at helping reduce the appearance of acne scarring, hyperpigmentation spots, fine lines, and wrinkles

Acupuncture is a well researched ancient East Asian healing technique. It uses hair thin needles placed at specific points on the body to promote healing and pain relief. Acupuncture works on a system of channels mapped across the entire body. The acupuncturist places the points to recalibrate the flow of blood and Qi to restore physiological wellness. Whether that is releasing muscles in spasm to reduce a tight neck, or by motivating lymph flow in the abdomen to reduce bloating and constipation, the base theory of acupuncture relies on the saying "Where there is flow, there is no pain. Where there is no flow, there is pain."

To get licensed in the state of Oregon, acupuncturists are required to obtain a 3-5 year master's or doctorate level degree, followed by passing 3 board exams in order to get licensed by the Oregon Medical Board.

Member of the Whitfield Reaves Sports Acupuncture Mentorship Program

Monday through Thursday

I have been on the receiving end of east-asian medicine and acupuncture since I was a small child, and today I continue to choose this powerful healing art as my first choice to stay upright on my snowboard, yoga mat, and the trails I run.

In practice, I treat injuries due to sports, motor vehicle accidents or any of the many ways we find to bang, bruise and break ourselves. I have great solutions to both acute pain, and nagging chronic pain from unresolved injuries, repetitive motion, and postural challenges.

My approach to resolving any ailment is to search the body for points of imbalance or blockage, and use the tools of our profession to bring equilibrium to the tissues in question. This allows the intuition of our bodies to take over, working towards their natural state of well-being and painless movement. I look at the whole health of my patients to determine what unrecognized internal patterns and ailments may be interrupting their healing process.

As a result of my experience as a personal trainer and recreational athlete, I have developed a depth of knowledge in Kinesthetics, defined as “the study of body motion and the conscious and unconscious perception of one’s own body motions”. Acupuncture is a potent tool in someone’s training regiment or rehabilitation in both the physical and mental realms,

I offer an open-minded and non-judgmental space for people to come in and be honest with any of their thoughts, feelings and needs, as what happens in our spirit reliably exposes itself in our bodies and vice-versa.

She/Her

Hello! I’m a body and movement nerd committed to lifelong learning in the realm of holistic wellness. This drives me to seek out a broad spectrum of perspectives, and I synthesize this diverse knowledge into practical applications that best serve my clients. During our sessions, I draw upon an array of techniques, customizing each experience to your needs. I blend Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Tui Na, Thai Table Stretching, Cranial Sacral Therapy, and Abdominal Massage to help you achieve a sense of integration and heightened connection with your body. Your body wants to return to balance and health, and I am a companion and support in your body’s own healing process.

My expertise extends to the realms of perinatal massage, post-natal recovery, uterine realignment, and gut and pelvic health. I hold specialized training in Pregnancy and Post-natal massage, Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy®, and Chi Nei Tsang. As a mother of twins, I appreciate the pivotal role that massage therapy can play in promoting wellbeing and addressing scar remediation after childbirth.

I completed my massage studies at East West College for the Healing Arts in 2014. However, my initial immersion into the somatic arts occurred while training in ensemble creation at the Dell’Arte School of Physical Theater. I was then introduced to yoga, obtaining certifications as a teacher in Alignment-based Hatha, Kundalini, and Pre-natal Yoga two decades ago, and I have remained a dedicated student, deepening my studies of pranayama, meditation, and asana.

In addition to teaching yoga, I taught movement and presence for the stage for over a decade. I, also, pursued further education in nervous system regulation and trauma-informed care while leading clinical Neurofeedback protocols. I bring many years of somatic and embodiment studies to my massage work and am passionate about empowered living, practical and functional movement, and guiding others on their journey back to (or deeper into) wellness.

Tuesday and Friday

My name is Maco (pronounced like “taco”, but with an “M”). I received my massage therapy training at East West College of the Healing Arts, where I am now a faculty member. In addition to my massage therapy license, I hold a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and a master’s in Communications. I have a background in the performance arts, mental health, communications, and education, all of which inform my practice today.

I work with a trauma-informed, outcome-based approach that merges manual therapy with mental & emotional care, somatics, and holistic wellness, to support those navigating chronic pain, overuse injuries, stress & anxiety, as well as physical pain that may be related to emotional trauma or discomfort. I draw from Myofascial Release Therapy, Swedish Massage, Craniosacral Therapy, and Tui Na to design sessions that are specific to the individual’s needs. While I work with all gender identities, I specialize in care for men and folks navigating men’s health issues.

When not at Mandala, I see patients in my private practice, Stillness Moved, and I teach Therapeutic Relationships at East West College. I also facilitate workshops on offering safe nourishing or platonic touch, and offer consulting around working with diverse populations, cultural competency, communication and healthy boundaries. When out in the world, I pursue and enjoy music and singing, opportunities for laughter, new foods, history, friendship, and learning more about navigating and/or challenging what it means to be an emotionally healthy man today. Hannah (she/her) has spent the past 15 years studying Massage Therapy alongside Complementary Medicine. She received a BSc in Wellness & Alternative Medicine, which informed her to seek the root cause of discomfort by assessing the whole body. She has assisted in wellness centers, volunteered in rehabilitation centers, and began her private practice overseas. Exploring bodywork worldwide has motivated her to provide an accessible, professional, and safe treatment space to all. She strongly values community, emphasizing autonomy and inclusivity on the massage table.

Hannah holds training in Deep Tissue, Swedish, Hot Stone, Lomi Lomi, Reflexology, Prenatal, Thai Yoga Bodywork, Modern Cupping Therapy, Myofascial Techniques and Gua Sha. All of these modalities act as a tool belt to accommodate a wide range of individual needs. Her approach to bodywork is slow, listening, thorough and inspired to regulate our overstimulated nervous systems. She has a lifelong passion for learning that creates continuous avenues of approaching her work. Curiosity drives her to understand pain; exercising deep listening, first during verbal intake and secondly through massage therapy. Every session is unique and tailored to the ever changing ways that we show up in our bodies. She values what the body has to tell us, helping us to unravel the tension we hold and how we hold it. Her work strongly sits in the symbiotic efforts of the practitioner (performing bodywork) and the client (adapting their lifestyle to aid in their healing process), to achieve the best outcome. Hannah approaches her work with a mindful, trauma-informed lens; that assesses our physical, mental and emotional states of being.

Outside of bodywork; Hannah loves travel, community, music, creativity and dancing.

For over twelve years I’ve been endeavoring to provide pain relief through bodywork. During those years I have crafted my knowledge of massage, kinesiology and anatomy into a dynamic and holistic approach. Each session’s goals are to discover your source of pain and the best ways to alleviate it. My basic massage sessions utilize the powerful yet gentle forms of swedish, deep tissue and shiatsu massage.

For addressing more specific pain patterns, injury recovery or pain management, I provide a more advanced form of bodywork. Namely Rolfing Structural Integration, Neuromuscular Reprograming, sport stretching and orthopedic bodywork. Each sessions involves movement, stretches and bodywork to discover and address your individual needs.

When I’m not in the office, you can find me out enjoying the bounty of nature found here in the beautiful Pacific North West.

Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Myofascial Release, Prenatal and Postpartum Support

My approach to massage therapy is rooted in deep listening. As a practitioner, I aim to provide a safe and welcoming environment that allows my clients to tune in. I encourage you to explore what your body communicates through sensations, boundaries, emotions, and discomfort. In my view, massage serves as an intentional way to engage in a process of reassessment; hopefully releasing what no is no longer serving your overall well-being and gaining a heightened sense of awareness, harmony and ease.

While in college for my Bachelors in Psychology I started practicing yoga and it changed my life. Eager to immerse myself in this practice, I went on to become a Registered Yoga Teacher. Through yoga, I became fascinated with the body, alignment, and the nervous system. I attended East West College and graduated in 2014, marking the beginning of a decade-long dedication to continuous learning and growth in this field. Following the birth of my son in 2021, my passion for working with people during the birthing year emerged. I have since trained as a Birth Doula, and most recently received intensive training for prenatal, birth, and postpartum massage. I love offering support as people discover their innate power through growth, birth, and parenthood.

My sessions are all about striking a balance between effective deep work and encouraging a state of nervous system regulation. I use a blend of techniques including deep tissue, trigger point, myofascial release, and cupping, and approach each session with a collaborative mindset. I absolutely love discussing ways to incorporate tools and techniques into your life to address recurring issues. Whether it be self-myofascial relief techniques, stretches, or ways to modify the repetitive demands of your work, I try to offer easily integrated suggestions that build on the work we do together.

I grew up in New England, and have lived in the Pacific Northwest for the last 12 years. Beyond bodywork, I enjoy cooking nourishing recipes, practicing yoga, and rain-or-shine adventures with my husband and two year old son.
